One of our company core values is “Give Back to the Community.” With that being said, we love showing support to Middle Tennessee’s local charity organizations. This past Saturday a few members from our staff got to spend time with the bright faces of children diagnosed with Autism. The Autism Foundation of Tennessee hosted a Family Fun Day and Corn Hole Competition for families with Autistic children. The day consisted of a corn hole tournament, fun art stations, and raffles. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®\Brentwood-Franklin had the privilege of sponsoring this exciting day. Our team didn’t create the best competition for the corn hole tournament (we may have come in last place), but we sure were inspired by the joy the event brought to the children.
For those who don’t know, children with Autism are very special. Autism is a developmental disorder that appears in the early ages of life. This disorder affects the development of social and communication skills. Many of these children can be affected by situations that others think are normal in day to day life. Seeing these children in a care free environment and running around completely joyful was such a delight. We look forward to working with the Autism Foundation of Tennessee and Autism Speaks again.
Please join us for the Sixth Annual Walk Now for Autism on October 5, 2013 at Bicentennial Capital Mall State Park.
