Celebrating Grandparents’ Day with our favorite core value!

As many of you know, Sunday, September 10th was National Grandparents’ Day, a day to celebrate some of the most important people in our lives.

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, National Grandparents’ day takes on a whole new meaning.  One of our favorite core values is called THE GRANDMA RULE®, and that means we treat every customer like we would our Grandmother.  We do that with respect and honesty (everyone knows better than to lie to their Grandma!)

This core value was created in honor of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s founder, Mary Ellen Sheets’s mother, Grandma Eb.  Grandma Eb played a huge part in the early stages of the moving company.  Mary Ellen used her mother’s backyard as a storage spot to park her trucks, and Grandma Eb really became and office manager figure for the company.  THE GRANDMA RULE® still resonates with employees from management to our movers and drivers.

THE GRANDMA RULE® really highlights the family atmosphere and history that has been built at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, and is a big reason that people are drawn to our brand.

Here in Franklin, we love THE GRANDMA RULE®, and it is something that is taught on the first day of a new employee’s job.  We want to make sure that everyone in our franchise values the respect and service we strive to give to all of our customers!

We also have a loyal senior following, and it is a large focus of what we do.  We pride TMAT408_jpgourselves in helping these individuals ease through the transition.  From helping them downsize their home to adding special training for our employees who work with seniors, our goal is to make life easier for our friends moving into retirement.

We pay a special attention to detail, especially with the senior crowd, and that has helped us build our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in to what it is today.  The care and effort we put into helping our older generation move is appealing to customers, and helps them to feel comfortable when we are handling a delicate situation like a senior move.

So don’t just celebrate your Grandparents on National Grandparents’ Day.  Celebrate them everyday because the love they bring into this world is worth more than words can say.  To all the grandparents out there, Thanks!
