How long will the move take?
Every situation is different and the length of time it will take to complete your move will vary based on a few factors. The factors can include but are not limited to:
- If you are prepared and are fully packed
- How many boxes you have
- Whether or not elevators will be used
- Available parking space for our truck
- How many “big” pieces you have
- How many stairs must be climbed
- The number of items that must be disassembled/reassembled
With every move, we do our best to quote you as efficient as possible, and is why on most big we move we send out a member of team to do a walk through of your home to ensure we quote you an accurate estimate. You can save a lot of time on your move day by having all of your items ready to go in sealed boxes, furniture disassembled, and labeling completed. This is not mandatory, however, and our crews would be happy to help with these tasks should you prefer.
Making Multiple Trips
We are happy to make multiple trips in order to complete your move. If we determine the best, safest way to transport all of your belongings securely and without damage is to do so in two trips or (two trucks), we will let you know. While we’re always happy to offer our professional advice, we leave the decision up to you! If you’d prefer us to simply take the larger, more unwieldy items and leave behind the smaller things you can transport yourself, we can do that too!
Our Moving Equipment
At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, we provide all of our own moving equipment. We have all the tools, including padding, packing supplies, shrink wrap, and more – our movers pad wrap and shrink wrap all of your furniture to prevent any damages – this is at no extra cost!
What about weather delays on my move day?
At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, rain, fog, sunshine, thunderstorms, snow, we will always show up! Unless there is weather conditions that are dangerous for our crews and our customers then we will always contact to you to discuss your move day! However, weather doesn’t bother us because no matter what we always take all the precautions to protect your items!
Do you have a contact number for the day of move should there by any unexpected challenges?
You always want to have a phone number where you can contact the office or manager. At Two Men and a Truck® you will receive a confirmation phone call the day before, an in-progress call during the move and call a couple of days after to make sure you didn’t have any concerns.
